Archival historyThis collection represents the Special Interest Groups within the Royal College of Psychiatrists which provide a forum for Members to come together, exchange of information, promote discussion and generate interest in a particular area of psychiatry. The fact that a College member belongs to a particular Faculty or Special Interest Group does not necessarily mean that they work in that field. Equally, it is not a requirement for any psychiatrist to belong to a particular Faculty to work in that area of psychiatry. Special Interest Groups have been organised by the College since the late 1970s and include the following subject areas: Adolescent Forensic Psychiatry, Arts and Psychiatry, Audio Visual, Computers in Psychiatry, Eating Disorders, Evolutionary Psychiatry, History of Psychiatry, Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Mental Health, Management in Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Perinatal Psychiatry, Philosophy in Psychiatry, Private Practice, Psychopharmacology, Spirituality, Sport and Exercise Psychiatry, Transcultural Psychiatry, Women and Mental Health in Psychiatry Volunteering and International Psychiatry.
